Who sells
The seller is Melanie Grace Fleitas, an artist based in the Monterrey metro area, with address at Lourdes 103, Col. Valle de San Ángel, 66290 San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, Mexico. Questions about an order: hello@melaniefleitas.com.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN). Payments are made by card through Stripe; we never see or store your card number. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may charge a fee.
An artwork is yours once the payment is confirmed. While you are on the payment page, an original is held for you for 30 minutes.
Shipping, returns and refunds

Auctions
- A bid is a binding commitment to pay. If yours is the highest bid when the auction ends, you buy the artwork at that price.
- To bid you save a card in your account. When the auction ends, the winner's saved card is charged the winning amount automatically. Shipping is separate and depends on where the piece is going.
- Some auctions have a reserve price: a minimum Melanie will accept. The auction page says whether there is one and whether it has been met. If the highest bid is below the reserve, the artwork is not sold and nobody is charged.
- A bid placed in the last minutes extends the end time, so everyone gets a fair chance to answer it. The auction page shows the current end time.
- If the charge to the winner's card fails, the winner gets an email with a link to pay within 48 hours. If it isn't paid in that time, the artwork may be offered to the next highest bidder at their own bid, under these same terms.
- A winner who doesn't pay may lose the right to bid in future auctions.
- Bidders are shown by alias, never by name or email.
Commissions
A commission starts with a quote. Nothing is charged until you pay the deposit invoice, which secures your spot and is applied toward the total. The deposit is non-refundable: if the commission is canceled after it is paid, the deposit is kept, and it may be applied toward any available work on the website. The balance is due when the painting is ready, before it ships. Details are on the commissions page.
The artwork and its image
Buying a painting or a print gives you the physical piece. Melanie keeps the copyright: the image can't be reproduced or sold without her written permission. She may show photos of the work in her portfolio.
Law
These terms follow the laws of Mexico. If we can't resolve a problem by email, the courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León will decide it, without affecting any consumer rights you have under the law.
